To answer a question I was asked by one of my friends, here is a list of Mac apps (with links to the App Store) I use on regular basis. Feel free to suggest your favorite apps in the comments below.

Growl – Growl is the is ultimate notification system for the Mac. It’s the easiest way to instantly know what is going on with other applications while you are busy working on something else, in real time or even when you step away.

xCode – Xcode provides everything developers need to create great applications for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Xcode 4 has been streamlined to help you write better apps. The Xcode IDE analyzes the details of your project to identify mistakes in both syntax and logic, it can even help fix your code for you.
